André Amouriq — The Art of Sharp Lines and Timeless Humor

Born in Lyon in 1945 and also known by the pen name Gast, André Amouriq developed a lifelong passion for comic books at a very early age. As both a witness and a major contributor to the evolution of Franco-Belgian comics, he has spent decades shaping a deeply expressive, dynamic style rooted in clever wit and humor.

His impressive career reflects rare versatility and dedication: after cutting his teeth on legendary titles like Blek le Roc, he collaborated with leading publishing houses across various genres, ranging from sharp satire to universally beloved gags. He is notably recognized for popular series such as Les Zypers, Les Prédictions de Nostra (written by Christophe Cazenove), as well as the hugely successful L'Auto-école and Dôjô.

He is also part of the LUG team that will be working on French superheroes, alongside Ciro TOTA, Reedman and Jean-Yves MITTON, taking over from Jean-Yves MITTON on the *Mikros* series, and is contributing to the *Le garde républicain* series.

Whether capturing the quirks of everyday life, the absurdity of modern situations, or the lively escapades of colorful characters, Amouriq excels in comedic timing and vibrant composition. Fauran.art celebrates his artistic legacy through an exclusive selection of fine art prints and collector's items, offering enthusiasts and connoisseurs a chance to rediscover the remarkable craftsmanship of a master storyteller.
